STILL STOKED LONGBOARDS since 1997

Still Stoked is the original UK longboard manufacturer. Donny Wright started making longboard skates in 1995 under the label Black Dog. In 1997 Donny, Tom Wright and Danny Cartwright were skating the longboards down Oliver’s Mount, an old hill motor racing track in Scarborough and surfing a late bitterly cold session at South Bay. It was December and minus 6 wind chill. “It was nuts but fun cos the sun was shining. It was crazy surfing at 4 in the afternoon just as it was getting dark. Back in the van 20 minutes later Danny said call it ‘Still Stoked’ because the surf is always so bad, but we ride the tarmac and we are still stoked anyway.” That was it really. I have been making and selling longboards ever since.
